Bharat Gaurav Train witnesses huge response from
Vijayawda Rail Passengers

 

 

 

Vijayawada:  total of 389 passengers have boarded from Vijayawada Railway Station in four trips of Bharat Gaurav Train

Passengers across all segments (both AC and Non-AC) avail the service
The Originating Bharat Gaurav Train started from South Central Railway has seen huge response from rail passengers from in and around Vijayawada Railway Station. The Indian Railways has introduced ‘Bharat Gaurav Trains” to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage by connecting important historical, cultural and religious places of the country through Rail.


As part of it, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has started operation of Bharat Gaurav Trains from Secunderabad railway station giving an opportunity to the pilgrim passengers of the tow Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to visit some of the most ancient and historical places in the Eastern & Northern part of the country.


Introduced as a tourist circuit train, it gives a unique opportunity to cover important destinations such as Puri, Konark, Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj over a period of 8 nights / 9 days period. IRCTC is providing end-to-end services for the pilgrim tourist passengers travelling by the train like all travel facilities (both rail as well as road transport), accommodation facility, catering arrangements, Services of professional and friendly tour escorts, Security on train, Public announcement facility in all coaches, Travel insurance and presence of IRCTC Tour Managers throughout the travel for assistance.
The tour which started its initial journey on 18th March 2023 has started its 4th trip today i.e., 13th May 2023. The attractive tour package along with the opportunity to visit important places of interest in the northern and eastern part of the country has resulted in huge number of rail passengers in and around Vijayawada coming forward to avail the opportunity.


Till date, a total of 389 rail passengers have availed the services from Vijayawada Railways station. Importantly, passengers have availed the train services in both AC (2nd & 3rd AC) as well as Non-AC (Sleeper). While 167 passengers have travelled in Sleeper Class (availing Economy package), 46 passengers have travelled in AC classes (availing Standard and Comfort packages).
Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawasda Division, SCR has expressed his happiness at the over whelming response received from the passengers for the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train. He stated that the train provides a unique opportunity to pilgrim passengers to visit culturally prominent and historical places without hassle of planning individual itinerary items.
