Assembly Polls: Counting Update at 12.00 Noon
The ruling TMC is all set to retain power in West Bengal with its candidates leading in 187 constituencies out of 292 seats that have gone for polls. There are 294 seats are in the Assembly. Elections for two seats have been put on hold following the death of the candidate. BJP is leading in the just 85seats in the 275 seats for which trends are available at 12.00 noon.
Only a few questions now remain unanswered: 1. Will the TMC get more than 200 seats? 2. Will the BJP’s tally fall below a hundred even after Prime Minister Modi and party second-in-command Amit Shah’s whirlwind campaign in the state.
