Low Risk Isn’t No Risk , 5 ‘Covid-19’ Facts

Most people infected with COVID-19 will only have mild symptoms and fully recover. Yet, some people are more at risk.

We all have a role to play in protecting ourselves and others. Know the facts about COVID-19 and help stop the spread of rumours and the disease.

  1. While COVID-19 is spreading rapidly, most people will experience only mild or moderate symptoms.

That said, this coronavirus can cause severe disease in some people.

  1. The vast majority of people who have contracted the new coronavirus to date have recovered or are recovering.

However, even a disease that 95% of people are recovering from can cause a significant number of deaths if it infects enough people.

  1. There have been relatively few COVID-19 infections among children.

Older age groups, especially those with underlying health conditions, are more at risk.

  1. We’re particularly worried about the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable:

Health workers, people over 60 and those with underlying health conditions. These groups need our protection.

  1. We ALL need to fight COVID-19.

Anyone can get infected and spread the disease to others. Some young, healthy people have become seriously sick, and some have even died.​

Low risk isn’t no risk.​
