AP CM Jagan Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple

TIRUMALA, 12 OCTOBER 2021: CM of Andhra Pradesh,  YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala on Tuesday morning.

Accompanied by TTD Chairman  YV Subba Reddy, he was welcomed by TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy and Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy at Mahadwaram.

After Darshan, he offered rice in Tulabharam lto the tune of 78 kilos equal to his weight.

MPs  Gurumurty,  Mithun Reddy,  Prabhakar Reddy, Ministers  V Srinivasa Rao,  P Ramachandra Reddy,  Venugopala Krishna and many others present.

Among others DIG  Krantirana Tata, Collector  Harinarayana, CVSO  Gopinath Jatti, Tirupati Urban SP  Venkatappala Naidu and other district administration officers were also present.

 AP CM OPENS BOONDHI POTU

CM Jaganmohan Reddy has also opened the newly constructed Boondhi Potu on Tuesday. The Boondhi required for preparation of Srivari Prasadam, Laddus, is being prepared in the Boondhi Potu located on Southern side of Srivari Temple, Tirumala.

Till 2008, TTD was producing only 45000 laddus a day. The then CM of AP late  YS Rajasekhara Reddy has opened the existing Boondhi Potu which is capable to produce Boondhi for preparation of about 3.75 Lakh Laddus per day. The then TTD Board Member and India Cements Chief  N Srinivasan donated Rs.10crores to set up this LPG boondhi potu.

However, due to overheat emerged out from these LPG stoves, the Potu workers faced some health issues. In order to increase the laddu production capacity to 6 lakhs per day and as well to safeguard the health security of Potu Workers, TTD mulled a new Boondhi complex with modern equipment, good ventilation facilities, etc.

Again Sri N Srinivasan of India Cements has come forward and donated Rs.12crore towards the construction of the new Boondhi Potu in an area of 8541 sq ft. and 40 Thermic fluid stoves (Flameless) have been set up.

OFFERS TULABHARAM

After Darshan, the chief minister offered rice in Tulabharam to the tune of 78 kilos equal to his weight.
