Hyderabad Zoo to Reopen From Sunday

Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad is all set to re-open for visitors from 11th July 2021, (Sunday) 8.30 A.M onwards. The Zoo Curator has requested the visitors to follow the COVID-19 protocol during the visit.

COVID protocol  for Zoo visitors:

1. It is mandatory for all visitors to undergo thermal screening at the point of entry. Visitors with symptoms of cold and fever will not be permitted entry into the Zoo.

2. Children below 10 years and adults above 65 years of age are advised to avoid visiting Zoo especially on weekends and public holidays.

3. All moats are open except the following facilities which will remain closed for the time being.

a. Safari Park Complex

b. Nocturnal Animal House,

c. Reptile House

d. Aquarium

e. Fossil Museum

f. Natural History Museum etc.,

4. All the ticket counter queues are marked as per social distancing norms. The visitors are advised to follow social distancing while purchasing tickets.

5. All the visitors shall use the medicated footbath at the entrance of the Zoo and strictly follow six feet social distancing while in the Zoo Premises.

6. It shall be mandatory for all the visitors and staff to wear face masks from the point of entry and during the visit. Entry without a face mask into the Zoo will not be permitted. Violators will be imposed with a fine of Rs. 200/- per head and in case of any argument will be expelled from Zoo.

7. The (Battery Operated Vehicles) BOVs and Toy Train shall run with 50% occupancy to allow social distancing norms. However, a family can book the entire BOV for their use on an exclusive basis.

8. The visitor shall move along the designated pathway only. For their own safety, they are advised to avoid touching barricades and other surfaces so as to minimize chances of infection of any.

9. The visitors shall use only the designated places marked for having food.

10. Sanitizers have been installed at some places like Main Gate Entrances, All Ticket Counters, Wash Rooms, etc., for public usage.

11. Booking of Guest Houses is discontinued until further orders.

12. Spitting and littering in the Zoo Premises is strictly prohibited and it is punishable with a fine of Rs. 1000/- as per Section 484 of GHMC Act, 1955.

13. The ticket counter personnel, Security Personnel, BOV drivers have been instructed to wear face masks and shields. In case of Non-Compliance, the visitors may inform the administration.

14. Security personnel on duty will monitor compliance of the SOP and Social distancing among the visitors, Violators shall be expelled from the Zoo.

15. For the safety of the visitors, the public area in the Zoo is sanitized twice every day. All the visitors are requested to help the Zoo administration in keeping the Zoo clean.

16. All the precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of visitors during their visit. However, the Zoo administration shall not be held responsible for any COVID-19 infection that might occur subsequently. Therefore, extreme caution is advised.

17. These SOP are being issued as per guidelines issued by the Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi, Government of Telangana from time to time.
