విజయవాడ రైల్వేస్టేషన్ లో సూర్యోదయం

స్టేషన్ అవసరాలకు సౌర విద్యుత్ ను వాడుకోవడం విజయవాడ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ లోనే నెంబర్ వన్ అయింది. మొత్తం ప్లాట్ ఫాప్ కప్పు నంతా సోలార్ ప్యానెళ్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసి విద్యుదుత్పాన చేస్తున్నారు. ఇలాంటి ఏర్పాటు దేశంలో మరెక్కడా లేదు. దీని వల్ల స్టేషన్ కు అవసరమయిన విద్యుత్ లో 18 శాతం ఉత్పాదన అవుతుంది.ఏడాదికి  రు. 8.1 లక్షలు అదా అవుతాయి.

Vijayawada Station in South Central Railway becomes the first in India to be equipped with an innovative solar photovoltaic cover- over-platform. It will ensure savings of ₹8.1 lakh p.a. Also, meeting 18% power requirements of the station, reducing carbon emissions.
