Dubbaka By-Election Slap on the KCR’s face: Dr Sravan Dasoju

*Dubbaka reflects the public mood in Telangana
* Sympathy factor worked in Raghunandan Rao’s favour
Hyderabad, November 10, 2020: AICC Spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju described the victory of the BJP candidate in Dubbaka By-Election as a big slap on KCR’s face. He thanked the Dubbaka voters who have taught a great lesson to the arrogant and monarch chief minister who is trying to suck the blood of the people like a leech in the name of LRS. The senior Congress party leader hopes that this should be an eye-opener for the ruling TRS party which would at least realize the fact that the people of Telangana are hesitating KCR’s unilateral policies. He suggested to CM KCR that he must open his eyes to realize the fact that the people are no more interested in his ruling and it is better to be grounded to earth to continue in power for the rest of the tenure.
Despite resorting to unethical political practices misusing the power, distributing cash and liquor, threatening the opposite party cadre, using revenue department and police force to win the election in a wrongful way, TRS couldn’t succeed due to the wave of a revolution by the voters who simply dumped the pink party into the drain, Dr Sravan said. He further slammed KCR for not showing any interest to help the flood-hit people of Hyderabad and the farmers whose crops have been damaged due to the incessant rains.
“Dubbaka people have given a wonderful judgement by defeating the TRS party candidate in the by-elections. They have slapped the chief minister KCR for forcibly taking over their lands for the Mallanna Sagar reservoir. They have slapped him for introducing controlled agriculture policies. They have slapped him for not purchasing their produce (Maize) and finally, they have slapped him for neglecting Dubbaka constituency in development at a time the government is spending huge money like water for the development of Siddipet and Gagwel constituencies”, Dr Sravan fired.
While speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Dr Sravan Dasoju congratulated the winner Raghunandan Rao, who was a fellow Telangana agitator and described the victory belongs to Raghunandan and not to the BJP party as he was defeated 3 times earlier and a sympathy factor helped him a lot.
The senior Congress leader has pointed out the mistakes done by the TRS party also contributed well in favour of the BJP candidate and he suspected a foul in this regard. “The significant vote share of the TRS party has been shifted to BJP. Raghunandan Rao’s cars have been attacked and his father-in-law’s house was raided. BJP Telangana President and MP Bandi Sanjay were attacked by the police. Pro TRS media and social media groups have highlighted all that stuff. So, all these provocative activities must have helped in favour of Raghunandan than TRS”, Dr Sravan pointed out.
He further suspected that to showcase the troubleshooter Harish Rao as a weekend person in the party, the TRS high command had also played a mind game in the entire episode.
While encouraging the party cadre, the AICC spokesperson has asked them not to be disappointed as they fought like soldiers. He suggested them to be active to fight against the monarch KCR until to step him out from power and make Telangana free from the iron hug of the Kalvakuntla family. He said that the Congress party has increased votes from the earlier 20,000 to 22,000 during this election which is a positive sign and their candidate Srinivas Reddy seemed like winning in the elections at one point of time. However, with the support of morphing videos that the ruling TRS party spoiled his victory chances and indirectly helped the BJP candidate to win the elections, Dr Sravan explained.
The AICC leader clarified that they will review the reasons for the defeat and under the leadership of Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Mr Rahul Gandhi and Mr Manickam Tagore, the Congress party will continue to fight to protect the constitution and democracy in the state and the country
