VH Demands Shifting of Governor Narasimhan

AICC Secretary and senior T-Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao took potshots at governor ESL Narasimhan stating the latter had brought down the image of the office of governor by always trying to please Telangana chief minister, and visiting temples.

Speaking to media, Rao took objection to what he called intriguing silence of governor at attacks on Dalits, students’ suicides and the arrest of farmers.

He wondered as to how a governor wishes that there should not be room for opposition in Telangana state.

Hanumantha Rao also said that he would write to union home minister to send him packing.

Rao said the separate Telangana state was the gift of the then Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and Babasaheb was an inspiration for the movement.

The senior Congress leader was unhappy over what had happened in the state during the past five years.
“Though the long cherished dream has been fulfilled, thanks to Sonia Gandhi, justice is being denied to the people who fought for the separate state. Unfortunately, the state has a half governor, who has been staying in the state for 12 years, without being of any benefit for the people,” Rao said.

Hanumantha Rao said the governor had always been busy in managing the chief minister and had no time to think of injustice being done to the intermediate students.

He said he would soon meet home minister Amit Shah and request him to replace Narasimhan by someone who is really interested to serve the people of the state.
