Telangana government is mulling huge salary cut to tide over financial crisis unleashed by Corona. The state economy is badly hit by the on-going lockdown.
In order to save the funds to meet the impending emergency, it is said, the government is planning to impose 75pc salary-cut for peoples’ representatives, 60pc cut for AIS officer, 50 pc for all the state govt employees and pension cut for all retired employees by 50 pc.
Even outsourcing employees are not spared. They have to take 10 pc lesser. A decision to this effect has reportedly been taken today in a review meeting chaired by chief minister KCR.
However, there has been no official statement so far.
