More Freedom Under Lockdown 4.0, Malls to be Reoponed

As the nation keenly awaits the lockdown 4.0 guidelines, indications from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) are that this phase is likely to have more relaxation, giving relief to the people who have been indoor for over 50 days.
The relaxations are expected to include plying of autos, opening of shopping centers, malls, resumption of domestic flights, plying of buses etc. But adherence to the measures relating to the social distance, wearing face masks, and prohibiting spitting in public spaces is strictly overseen.
The sources indicated that the next phase of the lockdown would last for two more weeks. But the government is mulling allowing operation of metro trains, bus services, barbershops, local markets, home appliance repairing shops in green and orange zones.
A separate set of guidelines are likely to be announced for Red zones in the districts along with some much-awaited relaxation for Green and Orange zone.

On the other side, the country witnessed a record jump of 4,987 cases in the past 24 hours taking the tally 90,927 cases. Death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 2,872 as 120 new fatalities occurring on in past 24 hours.
According Union Health Ministry, the number of COVID-19 active cases stood at 53,946 while 34,108 people recovered following treatment.
Three states which have reported more than 110,000 case are Maharashtra (30,706), Gujarat(10,988), and Tamil Nadu (10,585).
