AP Minister’s Son Took Benz Car as B’day Gift From ESI Scam Accused: TDP

TDP Demands CM to dismiss Minister and order a judicial inquiry into birthday gift
AMARAVATI: TDP senior leader and former Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu on Friday accused YSRCP Labour Minister Gummanuru Jayaram’s son Eeswar of accepting a costly Benz car as a birthday gift from a person accused in the ESI scam.
Ayyanna Patrudu asserted that Minister Jayaram was the real mastermind behind the ESI scam while the Government wrongfully targetted BC leader Atchannaidu. He showed photos of the Minister’s son accepting the costly gift from scam accused 14 identified as Telakapalli Karthik.
Ayyanna said while this clear evidence was available against the ruling party Minister, the ACB officials deliberately targetted TDP leader and former Minister K Atchannaidu even though they do have any evidence.
Addressing a press conference, the TDP senior leader demanded Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to prove his credibility by dismissing minister Jayaram from his Cabinet based on the latest evidence showing his family’s direct involvement in the ESI scam.
“Evidence was available to show that the minister’s son had accepted a Benz car as a birthday gift on December 12, 2019. The accused person Telakapalli Karthik, who runs a medical agency in Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada, posted the photos with the minister’s son on his Facebook account as well. Clear cut evidence was now available based on which the CM should act at least now to prove his commitment to eradicating corruption in the State,” the former minister said.
Ayyanna Patrudu also said that all these weeks, BC leader Atchannaidu was harassed and persecuted even as the ACB officials themselves said that they had no evidence of the TDP leader accepting money from anybody.
“The Chief Minister owed an explanation to the Backward Classes people why Atchannaidu was ill-treated and subjected to severe hardships in the name of investigation. The Benz Car accepted by the Minister’s son was having Telangana State temporary registration. Even the finance papers of the car were given as part of the birthday gift in this instance. The YSRCP Government was now answerable to all these wrongdoings,” he said.
Stating that CM Jagan was keeping silent on atrocities and political harassment all these days,  Ayyanna Patrudu warned the Chief Minister of a revolt from the BC leaders all over if his regime continued its persecution.
He asserted that the BC leaders would not be terrified of the YSRCP’s intimidation tactics and they would continue to question and expose the misdeeds and failures of CM Jagan Reddy ever since he came to power in the State.
“The ESI Scam accused Karthik was now confirmed as just a benami for Minister Jayaram. The Government cannot mislead the people anymore on the ESI scam in which Atchannaidu was named as accused number 2 to target him out of political vendetta,” he added.
Ayyanna Patrudu called up the toll-free number ‘14400’ and complained about the involvement of minister Jayaram in ESI scam and about the costly car gift from one of the accused.
When the receptionist advised him to submit proofs to the local ACB office, he said that he sent the copies directly to the Chief Minister’s Office for taking suitable action.
Ayyanna further alleged that minister Jayaram was also involved in running gambling clubs in his native Kurnool district and despite the complaints, the Government has not taken any action so far.
