The commissioner said the complaints that need immediate attention can now be made to the Commission’s 24/7 call centre on 0866-2466877. These complaints, the commission assured that will be immediately dealt with & action shall be taken duly.
The Commission also suggested that the complaint can also be mailed to the <commission secy.apsec2@gmail.com>, and the concerned District Collectors & Municipal Commissioners and the Helplines / Call centres in the Districts already & functioning 24/7. A written complaint be also lodged to deal with early & effective disposal of the complaint/ electoral offence!
“All the District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners are informed to take the immediate necessary action as well as steps to instil confidence in the general public against illegal electioneering practices if any involving Ward Volunteers.
Further Ward volunteers shall not contact any beneficiary group in any illegal manner to solicit votes for a favoured contestant, which is a punishable offence under Election Law,” the commission said in a statement
