అయోధ్య భూమి పూజ రోజు వైరలయిన టాగోర్ కవిత, ఏమిటా రహస్యం?

రవీంద్ర నాథ్ టాగోర్ 120 సంత్సరాల కింద రాసిన ఒక కవిత అయోధ్యలో ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ రామమందిరానికి శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తున్నపుడు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరలయింది.  బెంగాలీలో రాసిన ఆ  కవిత శీర్షిక దీనో దాన్ (Deeno Daan). ఒక సాధువుకు ,ఒక రాజుకు గుడి గురించి జరిగిన సంభాషణ ఈ కవిత. రాజుగారేమో 2  మిలియన్ల బంగారు నాణేలు ఖర్చు పెట్టి అందమయిన, అద్భుతమయిన,వైభవంగా, తన హోదా ఉట్టిపడేలా ఆలయాన్ని నిర్మించాడు. ఈ  మహా మందిరాన్ని, ఎంతోశ్రమతో నిర్మించిన ఈ మందిరాన్ని చూసి, ఇందులో నాకు దేవువుకనిపించడం లేదు, రాజా. ఎందుకంటే, దీన్నిండా నాకు కనిపిస్తున్నదంతా మీ రాజసం (Royal Pride), అని సాధువువ్యాఖ్యానిస్తాడు.
బహుశా కవిత రాసేనాటికి బెంగాల్ లో కరువుకాటకాలున్నాయోమో, ప్రజలంతా ఒక ఉపద్రవం బారిన పడిఅల్లాడిపోతున్నారు, వాళ్లంతా సాయంకోసం నీ ముందునిలబడ్డారు. నువ్వేమోవాళ్లందరని తరిమేసి  ఇంత డబ్బు ఈ ఆలయం మీద ఖర్చు చేయాల్సిన సమయం కాదిది అని సాధువు రాజుకు చెబుతాడు.
సరిగ్గా ఈ పద్యం 2020 మార్చి నుంచి ఇప్పటిదాకా ఎదురవుతున్న కరోనా ఉపద్రవాన్ని కళ్లముందు నిలబెడుతుంది.
టాగోర్ కలగన్నాడా ఇదంతా అనిపించేలా గుర్తొస్తుంది.
ఎంతో మంది ప్రజలకు కరోనా ట్రీట్ మెంట్ కు డబ్బుల్లేక నానా కష్టాలు పడుతున్నాయి, ప్రయివేటు ఆసుపత్రులు బిల్లుల కింద చర్మంవొలుచుకుంటున్నాయి. సామాన్యులు ఉపాధి కోల్పోయి జీతాలు లేక ఆర్థిక సంక్షోభంలో పడి అల్లాడి పోతున్నారు. ఆర్థిక గా చితికిపోతున్నారు. రెండునెలల పాటు దేశం వలసకూలీ దీన గాథలతో తల్లడిల్లిపోయింది.
ఫ్యాక్టరీలు పనిచేయక, లాక్ డౌన్ వల్ల వ్యాపారాలు బందయి, చిన్న చిన్న వ్యాపారాలు  చితికిపోయి  ఎపుడూ ఎదుర్కొనని దురవస్థను భారతదేశం ఎదుర్కొంటూన్న సంగతి, ఇపుడు అయోధ్యలో ప్రధాని మోదీ ఆలయానికి శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తూండటం చూస్తే,  మహాకవి టాగోర్ కవిత నడిచి వచ్చి మనముందు నిలపడిందా అనిపిస్తుంది.
టాగోర్ కవితలో ఎం చెప్పారు. ‘‘ ఈ ఏడాది  దాదాపు రెండు కోట్ల మంది నీ ప్రజలు కరువుతో చితికిపోయారు.దారిద్య్రం అనుభవిస్తున్నారు. వాళ్లకు తిండిలేదు,ఉండేందుకు  నీడ లేదు. సాయం చేయి మహాప్రభో అని నీ ఇంటి ముందుకొచ్చి ఆర్థిస్తున్నారు. నువ్వేమో వాళ్లని తరిమేశావు. ఇలాంటి సమయంలో రెండు మిలియన్ బంగారునాణేలు పోసి ఈ అద్భత దేవాలయాన్ని నిర్మిస్తున్నావు…. ’ అని మహాకవి సాధువు చెేత  చెప్పించారు.
దీనిని బనజ్యోత్స్న లాహిరి అనే మహిళ ఫేస్ బుక్ లో పోస్టు చేశారు. అంతే ఇది వైరలయింది. ప్రపంచలంలో నలుమూలల ఉన్న టాగోర్ అభిమానులంతా ఈ కవితని తెగ షేర్ చేసేశారు. పేస్ బుక్ లో అనువాదం వసతి కూడా ఉండటంతో టాగోర్ కవిత అనేక  భాషల్లోకి అనువాదమయి పోయి ప్రపంచనలుమూలలకు చేరింది.
అయోద్య నిర్మాణానికి గత రెండు మూడు రోజులుగా సాగుతున్న అట్టహాసాన్నిచూశాక  లాహిరి ఈ కవితనొక సారి చదవండని   ఫేస్ బుక్ ఎక్కారు.
దీన్కొక సారి చదవండి. టాగో ర్ పద్యంలోకి భవిష్యద్దర్శనం మీ వెన్నులో వణకు పుట్టిస్తుంది,’ క్యాప్షన్ తో మరికొందరు ఈకవిత ని షేర్ చేశారు.
నిజానికి లాహిరి బుధవారంనాడు ఈ పద్యాన్ని కేవలం బెంగాలీలో షేర్ చేశారు.
“ I found it extremely meaningful and topical. I saw the poem being shared by more and more people on Social media. There are many non-Bengalis on my friend list. I thought they should also know the essence of the poem. I translated it in English and shared a second post in the afternoon,” అని లాహిరి  The Telegraph కు చెప్పారు.
ఇది లాహిరి షేర్ చేసిన అనువాదం
“There is no god in that temple”, said the Saint.
The King was enraged;
“No God? Oh Saint, aren’t you speaking like an atheist?
On the throne studded with priceless gems, beams the golden idol,
And yet, you proclaim that’s empty?”
“It’s not empty; It’s rather full of the Royal pride.
You have bestowed yourself, oh King, not the God of this world”,
Remarked the saint.
The King frowned, “2 million golden coins
Were showered on that grand structure that kisses the sky,
I offered it to the Gods after performing all the necessary rituals,
And you dare claim that in such a grand temple,
There is no presence of God”?
The Saint calmly replied, “in the very year in which, twenty million of your subjects were struck by a terrible drought;
The pauperized masses without any food or shelter,
came begging at your door crying for help, only to be turned away,
they were forced to take refuge in forests, caves, camping under roadside foliages, derelict old temples;
and in that very year
when you spent 2 million gold to build that grand temple of your’s,
that was the day when God pronounced:
“My eternal home is lit by everlasting lamps,
In the midst of an azure sky,
In my home the foundations are built with the values:
Of Truth, Peace, Compassion, and Love.
The poverty-stricken puny miser,
Who could not provide shelter to his own homeless subjects,
Does he really fancy of giving me a home?”
That is the day God left that Temple of yours.
And joined the poor beside the roads, under the trees.
Like emptiness of the froth in the vast seas,
Your mundane temple is as hollow.
It’s just a bubble of wealth and pride.’
The enraged King howled,
“oh, you sham cretin of a person,
Leave my kingdom this instant’.
The Saint replied calmly,
“The very place where you have exiled the Divine,
Kindly banish the devout too”.

Deeno Daan  (దీనుడి దానం Destitute Donation)అనే కవిత 1900 లో వచ్చిన టాగోర్ కవితా సంకలనం కహిని (Kahini) లో అచ్చయిందని విశ్వభారతిలో బెంగాళీఅసోసియేట్ ప్రొఫెసర్ గా పనిచేస్తున్న  బిశ్వజిత్ రే చెప్పారు.
తమాషా ఏమిటంటే, 120 సంవత్సరాల కిందట టాగోర్ శ్రావణ మాసం 20 తేదీనే రాశారు. అంటే  అంటే రామాలయానికి  ప్రధాని మోదీ శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తున్న రోజునే అని కొంతమంది సోషల్ మీడియా యూజర్లు రాసినట్లు లాహిరి చెప్పారు.
టాగోర్ నాస్తికుడు. అయితే, ఆయన సంస్థాగత మతానికి వ్యతిరేకి. ఎందుకంటే, ఇలాంటి మతం నిండా అధికార దర్పం, అహంకారం, డబ్బు మాత్రమే ఉంటాయి, అని రే చెప్పారు.
“Tagore was against institutionalized religion. He was not an atheist but he denounced institutional religion because it spoke of power and reeked of arrogance and monetary wealth.” అని రే చెపారు.
