Hyderabad: Monumental Structures either Administrative Buildings or Architectural Wonders are the growth indicators to every country and the federal states. These structures also take forward cultural ethos and continue the historical legacy of every ethnic group living in the particular habitation for centuries across the world.
To name a few – the historical structures like White House, the official residence and workplace of US President, Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia, Burj Khalifa – the skyscraper in Dubai , India’s Rashtrapati Bhavan etc, have placed the countries on world map as distinctive nations.
In Telangana, the historical Osmania Arts College building was an inspiration to crores of youth to experience the world of education. The Hi-tech City which has been developed since 2014 under the supervision of state IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao was acclaimed as the hub of ” Classic Structures ” in the world of IT Industry. The opening of the first international standard Swedish IKEA Store In Hyderabad in India is enough to measure the promotion of ” Brand Telangana ” crossed the boundaries of continents.
From the first day of assuming the office on June 2 on the same day on Telangana Formation Day in 2014, Telangana warrior and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have put an end to the conventional methods in the state administration. Also, KCR has given equal importance to the creation of architectural marvels in his development agenda which includes iconic State Secretariat, Integrated Collectorates, MLA camp offices, etc. He also dreamt of the creation of skyscrapers in Hyderabad, state of the art Cultural Centre, mega Telangana Martyrs Memorial, tallest statue of the architect of India Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar, etc. Martyrs’ memorial works were already in progress and the proposal to install Ambedkar statue is under active consideration. The plans for skyscrapers is also under study.
The CM has started to execute his plans to build a strong Telangana by constructing permanent office complexes from the grassroots level. As a strong proponent of decentralization of powers in the governance, KCR has created more number of Districts and then Mandals and Village Panchayats to reach the administration at people’s doorsteps. The idea of constructing Integrated Collectors Complexes gave a big fillip to the administrative reforms. Each integrated collector complex is unique in nature. The establishment of the MLA Camp Office in every Assembly constituency headquarters is another move to give solace to people from administrative hurdles. The concept of enforcement of ” Ease of Administration” at the ground level would not have been possible had the government not created the facility of integrated collector complexes and MLA camp offices. The CM camp office -Pragati Bhavan which already considered a high-end administrative support centre is one of the magnificent structures in Telangana.
Likewise, KCR has come out with an idea of creating a synergy between all departments for administrative convenience and speedy governance at the State level by constructing a new Secretariat which stands as an ” ICONIC STRUCTURE ” for the state of new Telangana.
After the formation of Telangana, the existing Secretariat was no use for administrative convenience for local needs at a high level. The available buildings are a bundle of faulty designed structures as the former Chief Ministers in the undivided Andhra Pradesh used the Secretariat complex unfairly like the Telangana has been exploited till 2014. The previous rulers had messed up the entire Secretariat which is beyond repairable except the construction of a new one.
Unequivocally, the new Secretariat will soon change the outlook of entire Telangana at the national and international level once the ‘Epic Structure’ stands before four crores eagerly awaiting Telangana folks.
