Since the devotees are denied the privilege of having Lord Balaji darshan due to coronavirus lockdown, the TTD, the governing body of Tirumala, Tirupati, and associated temples, is gearing up its machinery to make the much sought after laddu Prasadam available to as many devotees as possible.
Lords Balaji Darshan or a pilgrimage to Tirumala is incomplete without tasting the famed Laddu, which was granted the Geographical Indication(GI) for its unique taste, quality, the method involved in the preparation.
The sale of Laddus will commence from March 25, 2020. And the laddus will be available in all 13 districts headquarters of Andhra Pradesh.

In the next phase, the laddu prasadam will be made available at the TTD information centers located in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and New Delhi.
The TTD board has decided to sell the Srivari laddus at the TTD Kalyana mandapams at half the price till the regular darshan practice is restored.
The laddu weighing 175 gm is normally sold at Rs 50. Now, it will be available for Rs 25. The rate, however, fixed exclusively for the lockdown period.

Interestingly, TTD has lifted the ceiling on the purchase of laddus. One can by even a thousand laddus, provided they place the order via email: tmlbulkladdus@gmail.com five days in advance if they are not available at the counters located at Kalyanmandapams.
