Amaravati, Nov. 5: Minister for municipal administration and urban development Botsa Satyanarana blamed opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu for Andhra Pradesh being depicted as a state without capital in the map recently published by Survey of India.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, he said Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the state not having a capital city as no Gazette notification was issued during his five-year-long tenure. Naidu, he alleged, had wasted time on unproductive things. He said officially in the records of centre the AP was a state without capital.
The minister asked as to why Naidu did not issue a gazette notification to the Centre during his tenure that Amaravati was the capital of the state.
He found fault with the TDP leaders for blaming the present Chief Minister on the issue. Stating that the economy of the state was in doldrum Botsa said unabated plundering of the state exchequer by Chandrababu Naidu and his henchmen was responsible for the sorry state of affairs.
The minister wondered as to how Naidu would sit on a fast on November 14 in solidarity with the construction workers.
“It is foolish of Naidu to choose an auspicious day like the Children’s day to go on a fast,” he said.
