Congress senior leader and MLA from Sangareddy Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy (Jaggareddy) said Telangana people gave a brilliant verdict in the Lok Sabha elections.
In a formal chat with media at Gandhi Bhavan today, Reddy had appreciated the wisdom of Telangana people in teaching a lesson to the ruling TRS and chief minister KCR.
He said the people of Telangana had sent three tigers to Lok Sabha to represent the state.
” It is true we had expected 8 seats from Telangana. But the Congress has ended up bagging only 3 seats. Still, we are happy, the people are sending three tigers to Lok Sabha,” he said.
Jaggareddy, as he is popular among the people, said Congress was in the safe zone, its revival was only a matter of time.
“The Congress party has won three seats in a triangular contest. In 2014 we fought with KCR face to face. This time it was a triangular contest. in 2024, too, we will fight again a triangular contest and We will emerge stronger, ” he added.
What KCR should not forget was that he was in danger zone with the entry of BJP, he added.
He also said Congress leaders won’t leave the party, the TRS stands the risk of leaders quitting the party to join BJP.
stating that Uttam would continue as Nalgonda MP, Jaggareddy said the Congress would retain the Huzurnagar Assembly seat in the next bypoll.
