Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed chief minister KCR for governing the state as per the whims of an astrologer.
Addressing a public gathering in Bhoothpur, Mahababubnagar district, Telangana, Modi made joke of KCR for his ridiculous reliance on astrology even in the matters of state governance.
“Assembly elections were decoupled from Lok Sabha elections on the advice of an astrologer. Cabinet formation had to wait for three months because the astrologer said there were no auspicious moments. Telangana chief minister is a proxy to an astrologer,” the PM said in his first ever election meeting in South Inida.
When KCR joined hands with MIM, the PM accused, the welfare of Telangana was not in the mind of chief minister, it was wellbeing of their family members. TRS and MIM joined hands not to serve the people of the state, but the their families comprising son, daughter, brothers, uncles, cousins and sons-in-law, the PM said.
The PM in his inimitable sarcasm said KCR was scared of Modi’s shining stars. ” KCR knew that Modi’s stars will be shining bright in April and May. Going for joint elections would hit his winning prospects. So, His astroger told him to advance Assembly election so that Modi’s star won’t eclipse his image,” Modi said.
“The family rule was the quality of the Congress and KCR had acquired this when he was in league of Congress for long,” Modi said pointing to KCR’s relatives spread across the state.
He asked the people to recall how KCR had dashed the their hopes for the sake his family rule.
“KCR is power hungry and is personification of dynastic rule,” the PM added.
Against this backdrop, the PM reminded the people of Palamuru that he would be standing like chowkidar to protect the interests of the region.
