Union minister and Lok Janasakti Party (LJP) leader Ram Vilas Paswan faced an embarrassing situation when his daughter Asha Paswan staged Dharna against father’s insulting remark on former Bihar chief minister Rabrdi Devi.
Rabri is wife of RJP patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Asha was demanding an apology from father Paswan for dubbing Rabri Devi as “Angootha Chhaap” (an illiterate person).
Accompanied by scores of her supporters Asha arrived at LJP office in Patna on Sunday noon and staged dharna with placards.
Addressing media, Asha said by calling Rabri an “Angootha Chhaap” her father had not only insulted a former chief minister of the state but also all women, including herself.
” My dad should apologize to Rabri and take his statement back,” Asha said.
Paswan hurled remark on Friday while addressing a presson conference on the stand of RJD with regard to 10 pc quota for upper caste poor.” RJD leaders believe in merely raising slogans and making Angootha Chhaap the chief minister,” Paswan said. Though he did not anybody, it is obvious that whom the LJP leader was targeting.
Asha has also threatened to contest from Hajipore Lok Sabha constituency against his father or brother Chirag Paswan if RJD chief Lalu Prasad asks her to do so.
