Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Leader of opposition in Telangana legislative council today demanded that both CM K C R and the speaker Madhusudhanachari resign if they had any shame and political ethics after the High court nullified their joint-act of disqualifying two Congress MLAs- Komat Reddy Venkat Reddy and Santhos Kumar.
The court held that the Assembly act of suspending all congress MLAs and disqualifying two Congress MLAs in recent budget session of the assembly as illegal and volatile of the spirit of the constitution and also against business rules of the TS legislature.
Welcoming the court verdict as a slap in the face of the TRS Government and an attempt to muzzling the opposition, the leader of opposition said both KCR and Speaker put their personal vendetta and agenda above democratic norms and business rules of the house ‘ The court had exposed the true colors of the speaker for not upholding the constitution and yielding to the government pressure’ he said .
Shabbir said the court decision was a shot in the arm and victory for the congress party in Telangana which has been consistently fighting the anti-people and undemocratic acts of KCR and TRS and also exposing the wrong doings and failure of the ruling party.
’Now both congress MLAs could continue their crusade against the corrupt TRS and despotic rule of KCR”
He said it was public knowledge that KCR got congress MLAs expelled and two senior Cong MLAs disqualified for the entire budget session in order to avoid criticism of TRS govt financial mismanagement unravelled in the CAG report and search light on the corrupt acts of his MLAs and his family members in the assembly
