Anantapur Lok Sabha member JC Diwakar Reddy, who is a staunch critic of YS Jagamohan Reddy, was all praise for latter’s decision to make party MP resign from parliament on April 6 protesting injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh.
Jagan yesterday in a public meeting asked his MPs to resign from Parliament if there is no concrete assurance on according special category status to Andhra Pradesh before April 6, the last working day of the parliament.
“It’s a clever move,” the Anantapur MP lauded.
“Jagan’s decision,” he said, “not just mount pressure on the TDP and centre, but also give YS Jagan an excellent point to go to the people.”
Jagan’s decision is being seen as the attempt to steal the thunder from the TDP which has grabbed national attention by stalling the Parliament proceedings on the meagre allocations made in the Budget 2018.
Now Jagan wants to counter TDP with the extreme decision of resignation, which he failed to do earlier.
Since there will be no bypolls for the vacant seats after budget session, Jagan grabbed the opportunity to ask his MP to resign from the Parliament.
