Why Parishad Election Conducted before LS Results ,Here Is BJP’s Version

(Prashanth Reddy)

Telangana BJP senior leader and spokesperson Ravula Sridhar Reddy said the BJP had improved its performance in breadth and width of Telangana in the recently held Parishad elections over the previous elections.

Interacting with media, Ravula pointed out that TRS had spent money like water in the MPTC, ZPTC elections, and as many as 100 MLAs MPs and MLCs all were deployed to influence the voters.

On the other hand, Ravula said, BJP members won on the strength of the party .

“It’s common knowledge that the ruling party is bound to win in the elections to local governing bodies. The TRS was well aware that the results of Parliament elections would not be in its favor. The ruling party doesn’t want these results to affect the outcome of the  MPTC and ZPTC elections. So, to avoid this embarrassment, chief minister KCR wanted to conduct the ZPTC and MPTC elections before the result of Parliament elections announced,” Ravula said.

Had the MPTC and ZPTC election been held after the announcement of Lok Sabha result, the BJP could have reaped bumper majority, he added.

Stating that the tough times were ahead for TRS in future, Ravula said, the BJP was planning to intensify its fight against TRS’ misgovernance and murder politics.

He alleged that Prem Kumr, a BJP worker, had been killed by TRS goons as the ruling party was not able to digest the rise of BJP’s influence in Mahabubnagar district.

Warning that BJP won’t tolerate murder politics in the Telangana, he demanded that culprits of Prem Kumar’s murder be brought to book immediately.
