Telangana Opposition Demand Dismissal of Edu. Minister

Leaders of all opposition parties in Telangana today demanded immeidate action againt education minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy for bunglining in Intermediate results which resulted in the suicide by as many as 25 students.

The parties today staged dharna at city’s Dharna Chowk near Indira Park protesting govenment’s gross apathy on taking action against the people responsible for marks fiasco.

The parties- Congress, TDP, CPI, CPM,Janasena,MRPS etc- said they would intensify the agitation if the government fails to take action on education minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy. Nothing short of disimissal of the minister was acceptable to them, they said.

Addressing the dharna Congress leader and  former MP Konda Visweswar Reddy squarely put the blame for the bungling on state government which he said was being controlled by chief minister’s family.

He accused the government of trying to shield the IT company Globarina which is seen as  responsible for the whole episode that destroyed the people’s trust in BIE(Board of Intermediate Education).

Taking a dig at chief minister’s oft repeated Bangaru Telangana (Golden Telangana), Reddy said what the people need is not the fake Golden Telangana but a livelihood Telangana.

Professor Kodandaram of Telangana Praja Samiti deplored that the state government was still hesitant to initiate action against the culprits of marks fiasco even after many suicides by students.

Professor Kodandaram demanded that a case be registerd on Globarina immediately and eduction minister be dismissed.

Telangana Mahila Congress president Nerella Sharada wondered as to how a chief minister goes on a pilgrimage when state is in turmoil following 25 suicides by students.

She said Mahila Congress won’t rest untill the culprits in marks fiacso brought to book, and hinted at launching  an agitation for justice to the families of those students who were forced to commit suicide.

TDP president L Ramana, CPI secretary Chada Venkata Reddy, MRPS leader Krishna Madiga and others also spoke and vowed to intensify their agitation. (Featured photo from Sakshi)
