Star Air to operate flights between Tirupati and Hubballi

Tirupati bound pilgrims from Hubballi in Karnataka can reach the temple town by flight soon. Star Air, a start-up in the aviation sector, has started bookings to operate daily flights from January 25, 2019.

The Star Air is operating the air services between the town under central government’s UDAN subsidy scheme, meant to provide cheaper regional connectivity. UDAN scheme covers under- and unserved airports, most of them in remote parts of the country and makes available air services to the common man at subsidized prices.

Star Air, promoted by, Sanjay Ghodawat Group, has won rights to fly out of Hubballi to Tirupati, Hindon and Pune. The ticket between Hubbali and Tirupati is priced at Rs 1,299.

The Star Air has commenced booking for Bengaluru-Hubballi, Hubballi-Tirupati and back and Hubballi-Bengaluru routes.

Earlier, this month, the airline received Air Operator Certificate.
Star Air is the first Schedule Commuter Operator based out of Bengaluru International airport and will start flights from Bengaluru and Hubballi.
