Director Manjula, daughter of yesteryears’ super star Krishna, reiterated her plans to make a movie with Pawan Kalyan. Manjula was interacting with media on her soon-to-be release movie Manasku Nachindi. Manjula was all praise of Power Stara Pawan Kalyan. Stating that Pawan was a genuine personality, who likes to do things as he wanted, Manjula expressed confidence that Pawan would never turn down her project once he listens to the script. She hopes that her movei would see light of the day before Pawan finds himself busy in politics.
In fact, this is not the first time that Manjula expressed her intention to work PSPK. In January, in a TV show called Jeans, Manjula said her choice of her for the next movie was Pawan Kalyan. Replying to a straight query who she would prefer as hero for her next movie, she said without hesitation “Pawan Kalyan”. She also said the title of the movie would be ‘Pawan Kalyan’. There was a burst of applause from the audience in the show. Manjula was given three names, Maheshbabu- her own brother, NTR-grandson of TDP founder NTR, and Pawan Kalyan, to choose from.
Manjula was unaffected by the poor performance of Pawan Kalyan’s recent movie Agnyaathavaasi. Choosing Pawan from panel of three names and stating the name of the movie also as Pawan Kalyan needs guts.
This clearly shows the popularity of PSPK commands among the fans and directors.
Such is the craze among the Telugu millennials for Pawan Kalyan that despite Agnyaathavaasi disaster, a Filmnagar pundit told this writer that Agnyaathavaasi had not dampened the spirit of Tollywood producers/directors. At least half a dozen mega producers/directors are still waiting for a nod from Pawan Kalyan to announce their next movie project that too before he enters electoral fray.
