ప్రపంచంలో బాగా పేరున్న అమెరికా మ్యాగజైన్ ‘టైం’ (TIME) ఈసారి మోదీ మీద ఎక్కుపెట్టి ఒక సంచిక వెలువరించింది.మే 20 వ తేదీ డేట్ లైన్ విడుదలవుతున్న ఈ టైం సంచిక భారత ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ మీద ప్రత్యేక కథనం తీసుకువచ్చింది.
భారత దేశంలో ఇంకా ఎన్నికలు కొనసాగుతున్న సమయంలో ఈ ప్రత్యేక కథనం వివాదాస్పదమయిన శీర్షికతో వెలువడటం విశేషం. ఈ శీర్షిక ‘Divider in Chief’ అని పేర్కొంది.అంటే మోదీ చిచ్చుల నేత అనే కదా అర్థం. దేశ ‘విభజన ప్రధానాధికారి ’ తెలుగులో అనువదించుకున్నా దానర్థం దేశ ప్రజలను ఆయన విడగొడుతున్నాడనే. మేసేజ్ స్పష్టం.
దీనితో పాటు మరొక ఉప శీర్షిక ప్రశ్నకూడా టైటిల్ లో ఉంది.

ప్రపంచంలో అతి పెద్ద ప్రజాస్వామ్యం మోదీ ప్రభత్వాన్ని మరొక ఐదేళ్లు భరింగలదా అని ప్రశ్నించింది.

ఈ వ్యాసంలో నాటి ప్రధాని జవహర్ లాల్ నెహ్రూని, మోదీ ని పోల్చారు. నెహ్రూ సెక్యులరిజానికి, ఇపుడు మోదీ హయాంలో దేశం ఎదుర్కొంటున్న ఉద్రిక్త వాతావరణాన్ని పోలిక . హిందూ ముస్లిం ప్రజల మధ్య సోదరభావాన్ని పెంపొందించాలన్న కోరిక మోదీకి లేదని టైమ్ రాసింది.
“He (Modi) attacked once unassailable founding fathers, such as Nehru, then sacred state ideologies, such as Nehruvian secularism and socialism; he spoke of a “Congress-free” India; he demonstrated no desire to foster brotherly feeling between Hindus and Muslims.”
అథీస్ తాసీర్ నవలా రచయిత, జర్నలిస్టు రాసిన ఈ వ్యాసం గుజరాత్ అల్లర్లను మళ్లీ గుర్తు కు తెచ్చింది. మోదీని హిందూపక్షపాతిగా పేర్కొంది.
మోదీ దేశంలో మూఢ నమ్మకాలను ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్న విధానాన్ని కూడా ఈవ్యాసం ప్రస్తావిస్తూ ఒకసారి వైద్యుల సమావేశంలో మోదీ ప్రసంగించిన తీరును ఉదహరించింది.

మోదీ అధికారంలోకి వచ్చాక ఉన్న వ్యవస్థను ధ్వంసం చేశాడని, అయితే, దాని స్థానంలో మరొక కొత్త వ్యవస్థ తీసుకురాలేకపోయడాని దేశ భావిస్తున్నదని కూడా తాసీర్ పేర్కొన్నారు.
