కేరళ లో ఒక గర్భిణి ఎనుగు హృదయ విదారక పరిస్థితులలో మరణించి దేశ వ్యాపితంగా సంచలనం సృష్టించి నెల రోజులైనా కాలేదు. మరొక ఏనుగు కూడా ఇలాగే బాధాకరమయిన పరిస్థితుల్లో మరణించింది. ఈ సారి సంఘటన తమిళనాడు-కేరళ సరిహద్దు అడవుల్లోజరిగింది.
12 సంవత్సరాల ఈఏనుగు ఈ ఉదయం అయిదున్నరకు కన్ను మూసిందని The Lede రాసింది.
ఈ ఏనుగుకు మూతికి బాగా గాయాలయ్యాయి. గాయలతో బాధపడుతున్న ఈ ఏనుగును జూన్ 20 వతేదీన కొయంబత్తూరు సమీపంలో ఆనైకట్టి వద్ద అటవీ శాఖ అధికారులు కనుగొన్నారు. చికిత్స చేస్తూఉన్నారు.
అయితే, దురదృష్ట వశాత్తు ఈ ఏనుగు కూడా చనిపోయింది. వెదురు మొక్కల్ని తింటుండగా దీనిని నోటికి గాయాలయ్యాయని అటవీ అధికారులు చెబుతూంటే అదికూడా ఏవో పేలుడుపదార్థాలున్న ఆహారమేందో తీసుకున్నట్లుందని స్థానికులు చెప్పినట్లు దిలీడ్ రాసింది. ఈ మధ్యాహ్నం ట్రెండింగ్ తెలుగు న్యూస్ కు మరిన్ని వివరాలు అందించారు.

“The forest officials of Tamil Nadu got the tip-off that a severely wounded elephant is roaming in the area near the Western Ghats in Jambukandi, next to the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border in Coimbatore.
Subsequently, the wildlife department headed by Periyanayakanpayam Forest Officer Suresh tracked the elephant. They found that the elephant was a male and it was 12 years old. They also found that the mouth had been smashed. The injured elephant had been treated by veterinary doctor Sukumar, who fed it with banana and jackfruit and gave medication for pain relief and immunity. Dr Sukumar, said the elephant had been suffering from a mouth injury for more than 10 days.
The pachyderm, though injured, was very supportive of the treatment. But unfortunately, the treatment proved ineffective. According to Venkatesh, the District Forest Officer, the animal was suffering from a deep-cut would of 9-centimeter diameter and 15 centimeters in depth. According to Venkatesh, the elephant might have got injured from the ivory piercing in the fight with another male counterpart. There are no injuries anywhere else on the body, he added. An autopsy is underway. The Elephant will be buried in the forest after the autopsy.
