Telangana No Way Better Than Bihar in Education : Dr Laxman

Hyderabad, May 10: BJP Telangana state unit president Dr Laxman said Telangana state is comparable only to Bihar as far as education is concerned.

In an informal chat with media at party’s state headquarters in Hyderabad Dr Laxman said education, especially the school education, is not given due priority in the state.

“The school education in Telangana is as backward as that of Bihar. Telangana is in the first place from bottom on the scale of 29 states in the school education. The university system is haphazard. Only 10% of professional colleges in the state have NAC Accreditation,” Laxman said.

Laxman opined the apathy of the government in delaying the DSC notification was pointer to the state of affairs in Telangana and added that there had been no DSC after TRS assumed office in 2014.

Referring to the 25 suicides of Intermediate students Laxman wondered as to why the government was hesitant to take action on Globarina, the IT firm responsible for the bungling in Inter results.

Deploring at the poor standards of education in junior colleges, he said as many as 5000 posts of junior lecturers had been vacant in the state and the these colleges across the state were being run just with 800 lecturers.

Laxman reminded that separate Telangana state was formed by sacrifices of these students, but KCR family alone  enjoying the fruits of the sacrifices.

he said drastic changes would take place  in Telangana once NDA forms the government at the centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
