MIM Fomenting Trouble in Ambarpet : Kishan Reddy

Former Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy and former MLA from Ambarpet, Hyderabad, alleged that the city based MIM party was trying to foment trouble in his Amberpet Assembly constituency on the pretext that a mosque was demolished.

MIM, he said, was trying to get political mileage out of the so-called mosque issue and the TRS government had become a willing partner for this.

Addressing media he said chief minister KCR government was allowing MIM to create law and order problems just because the party is an ally of TRS.

He wondered as to how the home minister announces that the mosque would be built at the same site, where in fact there was no mosque at all.

He also took strong objections to MIM MLA Pasha Khadri offering prayers at the demolished site.

Reddy alleged that MIM was trying to make an issue out of non-issue for political gains. “The structure that was removed by GHMC authorities for the purpose of road-widening was not a mosque. So, there was no question of a dispute over the site,” he told the media.

He said MIM party’s claim was purely political.

The former MLA said GHMC had acquired land legally and the affected families had been paid compensation long back during the regime of NT Rama Rao in the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy claimed that he himself ensured that compensation was paid to the 280 affected families long back and the three brothers, who were owners of the site had also been paid compensation to the tune of Rs.2.5 crore.

He alleged that police, instead of containing the mosque politics of MIM, were booking false cases against the youth of his constituency at the instance of MIM.
