Taj Mahal to disappear from the sight of Poor

Come April1, the wonder of the world Taj Mahal, will disappear from the sight of the poor. Visiting the mausoleum will become a costlier as the NDA government has decided to introduce entry fee for main mausoleum.New charges will come into force from April 1. Government fixed an entry fee of Rs 200 for visiting main mausoleum while general entry fee will be raised to Rs 50 from Rs 40. As of now, there is no separate entry free for visiting main mausoleum. According to Culture minister Mahesh Sharma the introduction of entry fee was to preserve the Taj  Mahal and for a better crowd management.

“We need to preserve the Taj for generations to come. New barcode tickets will cost Rs 50 instead existing Rs 40 and it will be valid only for three hours,” the minister said in a media briefing.
