Key points in Supreme Court Order on Yaddyurappa case

 In a setback to the Bharatiya Janata party, the Supreme Court on Friday ordered Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to prove his party’s majority in the Assembly at 4 pm tomorrow (Saturday), slashing a 15-day window that Governor Vajubhai Vala had allowed the BJP. Governor’s invitation to Yaddyurappa has been challenged by the Congress and JD(S) in the court on Thursday midnight.

The bench comprising Justices A K Sikri, S A Bobde and Ashok Bhushan heard the petition filed by Congress and JDS Friday morning and delivered the judgment.
