Indian Railways Operated 222 Spl Trains to Transport 2.5 lakh People

*So far Ministry of Railways has transported 2.5 lakh+ stranded labourers, students, pilgrims etc. through 222 special trains.
*The next step is to bring stranded Indian nationals from abroad via non-scheduled commercial flights and Indian Navy ships.
*Stranded Indians can register in @MEAIndia missions abroad for travel.
*Students, pregnant women, medical emergency cases, and those whose visa is near expiry shall be given preference.
*Passengers shall be screened before boarding and only asymptomatic passengers shall be allowed.
*All passengers shall give an undertaking before boarding that upon arrival in India, they will subject themselves to mandatory institutional quarantine at their own cost. All shall register themselves on Aarogya Setu App and shall undergo a medical checkup at the destination.
*An inter-ministerial committee comprising of top officials of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Defence departments, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Air India shall look into the SOP to be implemented for foreigners in India or those Indians who wish to go abroad for any reason.
*INS Jalashwa is preparing to leave the Maldives with 700 passengers today and is expected to reach Kochi on the night of 10th May.
*Flights have landed from Abu Dhabi to Kochi and Dubai to Kozhikode with 354 passengers. A Singapore-Delhi flight with 250+ passengers also landed today.
*Multiple Entry Lifelong Visa of OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) cardholders remain suspended for the duration of lockdown. (Except for those OCI already in India, whose card shall be valid till the duration of their stay.)
*OCI cardholders wishing to travel to India reason should contact Indian missions.
